Improv Theatre Sampler

A Sparxis Workshop with Robert MacKie Far from being a class on “how to be funny,” it focuses on the core philosophy of “Yes, And”—a mindset of radical acceptance and collaborative support. Through a series of playful, group-based exercises, you will develop essential soft skills like active listening, emotional agility, and presence, all while connecting with a diverse community of like-minded locals. Whether you’re looking to kill your inner critic, improve your teamwork, or simply try something new in a safe and supportive environment, this session provides the perfect “blank canvas” to explore what happens when you stop planning and start playing. Who’s this workshop for? Individuals seeking personal growth: If you want to quiet your inner critic, boost your confidence, creativity, and learn to trust your instincts in a supportive environment. Professionals and collaborators: Those looking to sharpen their active listening, improve their “on-your-feet” thinking, and bring a “Yes, And” mindset to their team. Community seekers: Local people looking for a low-pressure, high-energy way to meet new others and connect through laughter. The “Improv-Curious: Anyone who has ever thought “I could never do that.” This is a safe space to realize that if you can hold a conversation, you can improvise.
