Remembrance Sunday Parade

The annual Remembrance Sunday Parade, organised by the Royal British Legion, will take place in Newquay on Sunday 8th November and will bring together veterans, Armed Forces personnel, emergency services representatives, dignitaries and community groups to remember and honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The parade will assemble at Fore Street Car Park before departing at 10am and making its way through the town centre to St Michael’s Church, where it is expected to arrive at approximately 10.30am ahead of the Remembrance Service. Important road closure information: A rolling road closure will be in place along the parade route between 9.45am and 10.45am. Roads will be closed only as the parade passes through and reopened as soon as it is safe to do so, helping to minimise disruption. Visitors planning to use Manor Car Park on Sunday 8th November are advised that there will be no vehicle access to or from the car park between 9.45am and 10.45am due to the Remembrance Parade. If you are attending the parade or church service, please allow plenty of time for your journey and arrive before the temporary restrictions come into effect. Those purchasing parking tickets should also take this closure period into account. Alternative parking options are available across Newquay. For details of other town centre car parks, please head to www.visitnewquay.org Traffic management and road closures will be managed by Newquay Town Council. These arrangements are in place to ensure the safety of participants, spectators and other road users while maintaining access for emergency services if required.
